Gladman Developments has reached a significant milestone, having now secured planning permission for more than 41,000 new homes across the United Kingdom. With 243 sites sold to leading national and regional housebuilders, the achievement underlines the company’s position as the country’s most active and successful land promoter.
Operating from its headquarters in Congleton, Cheshire, Gladman currently manages between 350 and 400 sites at various stages of the planning process at any given time. The company’s reach extends across every region of England and Scotland, from the South East to the North East and beyond.
The milestone reflects more than 25 years of sustained growth and a consistent commitment to identifying deliverable development opportunities that help address the UK’s ongoing housing shortage. Each site is carefully assessed to ensure it can deliver high-quality new homes alongside meaningful community benefits such as affordable housing, green infrastructure, and contributions to local services.
“Reaching 41,000 homes is a tremendous achievement for the entire team,” said a Gladman spokesperson. “Behind every planning permission is a detailed understanding of local housing need, a carefully designed scheme, and months of collaborative engagement with councils, communities and stakeholders.”
