This site was progressed by working closely with the local planning authority, Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council and the Highways Authority, Kent County Council following the site being identified as an emerging allocation within the Local Plan.
The site delivered a new link road to resolve local highway issues and also contributed to improvements on the wider road network. A section of land was also earmarked for a new primary school.
The components of the proposals included the development of up to 840 homes, of which 40% would be affordable housing, a large area of multi-functional green space, alterations to the Poppyfields roundabout, a link road, land for a new primary school, a new play area, highway improvements, public open space, a cycle lane, and a green corridor running through the site.
