Since joining Barratt Developments in 2022, Gladman has continued to thrive as a standalone business unit, now operating within the enlarged Barratt Redrow Group following the merger of Barratt and Redrow in 2024.
The strategic alignment brings together Gladman’s expertise in land identification and planning promotion with the construction and delivery capabilities of the UK’s largest housebuilder. While Gladman continues to sell sites to a wide range of national and regional developers, the relationship provides additional strength and resources to support its growing portfolio.
Gladman’s team of planning, policy, and development professionals continues to operate from its established base in Congleton, maintaining the entrepreneurial culture and specialist focus that has driven the company’s success over more than two decades.
The company’s pipeline remains strong, with hundreds of sites across England and Scotland at various stages of promotion, application, and appeal. Gladman’s policy team also continues to play an active role in national planning reform discussions, contributing to consultations and engaging with government on housing delivery targets.
