Since joining the business, Kevin has continued to build his experience, develop skills and explore new opportunities. Now, as he steps into this new position, it felt like the perfect time to pause and look back at his journey so far, as well as find out what comes next.
Rather than simply announcing the promotion, we wanted to hear the story behind it directly from the man himself. Here’s what Kevin had to say before starting his next chapter…
“I’m delighted to announce my promotion to Head of Planning at Gladman.
From securing my first planning permission with Gladman two decades ago (500,000 sq ft B8 development in Chester-le-Street) to the team’s most recent success (115 homes in Ribble Valley), change has been constant, but the fundamentals remain the same. Good planning is about solving problems, building relationships and managing change. Successful schemes create places for families and businesses to thrive and grow.
I have always been proud of the Gladman way: principled and honest, ambitious and innovative. I’m also grateful to the inspiring mentors and countless supportive colleagues whose guidance and encouragement have shaped my career so far, with plenty of fun along the way.
It is an absolute honour to take on the leadership of such a hardworking and talented team of planning professionals. I’m excited about what we’ll achieve together.”
