We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the sale of land in East Malling, to Redrow following a grant of Outline Planning Permission. The development will deliver approximately 150 new homes, making a valuable contribution to the local area. This site along with our other 249 sales have helped facilitate the delivery of more than 46,000 new homes for communities across the country. Just as importantly, they represent 250 transactions that have delivered meaningful outcomes for our landowner clients.
Behind every sale is a much bigger story. From identifying the potential of a piece of land and navigating the planning process, through to preparing a site for market and completing the eventual sale, each project requires expertise, persistence and collaboration. Reaching 250 sales is therefore a milestone that reflects the hard work and commitment of colleagues across the business, as well as the strong relationships we have built with landowners, housebuilders, consultants and professional partners along the way.
We are proud to have brought forward high-quality schemes that landowners can be proud of, with sustainability, good urban design and a positive local legacy at their heart. While every site is different, our aim remains the same: to maximise the potential of the land we promote and create robust, attractive opportunities that can ultimately deliver much-needed new homes. Our experience across these 250 transactions has also given us an invaluable understanding of what purchasers are looking for and what is needed to successfully take a site from planning through to sale.
Reaching this milestone has not always been plain sailing. The land and housebuilding markets have experienced significant fluctuations, influenced by wider economic conditions. Throughout those cycles, our team has continued to drive transactions forward, working hard to ensure sites are genuinely ready for market by addressing technical and legal matters upfront, reducing uncertainty for purchasers and helping transactions progress as efficiently as possible.
It is particularly rewarding to look back at the breadth of sites represented within that 250 figure and recognise the collective contribution that has made each transaction possible. It is a milestone for the whole Gladman team and one we are incredibly proud to celebrate.
And there is plenty more to come. Following an incredibly successful 2025/26 for our Planning Team, with planning permission secured on 19 sites, we have a strong pipeline of opportunities expected to come to market over the next 12 months.
We remain focused on bringing deliverable, well-prepared sites with the benefit of outline planning permission to the market and look forward to reaching the next milestone.
