A new office development in Dundee is open for business. Gladman Developments has opened Valentine Court, Gladman’s prestigious Business Park. Valentine Court is prominently located to the north west of the City of Dundee, a key business location fronting the Kingsway which is the main ring road through the city.

The event was well attended by the business community eager to see the high specification buildings open plan offices which have been tailor made to fit a range of occupiers from 5- 200 employees. The pavilions provide space from 1,000 sq ft upwards and larger requirements can also be accommodated with planning consent received for a 25,000 sq ft headquarters building.
Gladman, is a company which specialises in business park development ensure pavilions are well planned with a plentiful landscaping to provide an attractive working environment.
Greg Limb, partner in charge of Scotland, commented that “Valentine Court is Gladman’s 78th business park and despite the tough economic climate we are committed to providing speculative office space which is available to lease or purchase”.
Scotland remains one of Gladman’s growth areas in the next few years. At present over 750,000 sq ft of office & industrial space has been constructed in Scotland since 2006.
Scotland represents one of Gladman’s major growth areas within the UK market. The developer is already on site in Aberdeen, Dundee, Livingston and Berwick. It also has planning permission for developments in Dunblane, Hillington and Cumbernauld.
Gladman Developments have confirmed it has let a further 15,000 sq ft of business park office space at Arnhall Business Park in Aberdeen.
Abermed, Annixter, Kongsberg Maritime and RigNet have all agreed leases at Abercrombie Court in Westhill of between 5 to 15 years for units ranging from 2,200-5,250 sq ft. Rents achieved were between £17.50 and £18.50 per sq ft.
Gladman Developments’ Abercrombie Court in Aberdeen is proving a top draw with a multitude of investment sales and lettings confirmed in the last three months.
The surge in demand has encouraged Gladman to begin the second phase of construction, which will comprise a further 52,600 sq ft and offer units ranging from 1000-5000 sq ft.
Britons looking to open a business property may find the current conditions are favourable, an expert has said.
Matthew McEachran, retail analyst at Singer Capital Markets, stated new commercial property owners could see the situation as "better from the perspective of cost and tax incentives".
This is particularly true following measures announced in the emergency Budget, as start-up businesses could benefit from the incentives, he continued.
