Gladman’s 135,000 sq ft office development at Abercrombie Court, Arnhall Business Park, Westhill has enjoyed significant success in attracting occupiers since its launch earlier this year. The first phase of 80,000 sq ft is now built and has already attracted 8 companies with detailed discussions ongoing with a variety of potential new occupiers.

Gladman is a national developer who identified the potential at Westhill by acquiring the 10 acre site in 2007. Westhill has been an established business location in the Aberdeen market for many years with major occupiers such as Technip, Schlumberger, Scottish Water and Stewart Milne Group.
The release of 43 acres of development land at Arnhall has seen a quantum leap forward for Westhill and Arnhall Business Park is now established as Aberdeen’s first true office park. There is a critical mass of office development, anchored by a 210,000 sq ft HQ for Acergy and a 170,000 sq ft HQ for Subsea 7. Other major new occupiers include TAQA, who are the Abu Dhabi National Energy Corporation, Technip and Seabrokers. Amenities in Westhill are excellent with Tesco, M&S and Costco all in close proximity.
Gladman’s business model at Abercrombie Court is based on providing a variety of buildings from 1-25,000 sq ft. This has been fundamental to their success and occupiers now include Northern Offshore, Kongsberg, Abermed, NCS Survey, Rignet, Jee Ltd, Anixter and G5 Technologies.
5 of the investments have been marketed and each sold quickly to private investors who have been attracted by the overall quality of the product – investors like the location, the quality of the buildings and the tenants that have been attracted to the development.
Units are still available for sale/to let on the first phase with buildings from 2-25,000 sq ft built and ready for occupation.

Britons looking to open a business property may find the current conditions are favourable, an expert has said.
Matthew McEachran, retail analyst at Singer Capital Markets, stated new commercial property owners could see the situation as "better from the perspective of cost and tax incentives".
This is particularly true following measures announced in the emergency Budget, as start-up businesses could benefit from the incentives, he continued.
