Gladman Developments has relocated to new offices within Eliburn, Livingston as the initial phase of its development at Eliburn Office Park completes. Securing 2,000 sqft of space at the office park has provided staff with modern open plan offices and also the opportunity to showcase their office units to interested businesses.

The office doubles as a showsuite and since opening a number of passersby have taken the opportunity to look round. Greg Limb, partner, commented “ we adopted a show suite model in Aberdeen which has proved very successful and given that we are occupying our units and have product to sell and develop it seemed appropriate that we should do the same at Eliburn. We have already had a number of viewings, indicating that if people can pop in and see the development without the need for making an appointment then they will do so. It is also encouraging to see that there are good levels of interest despite the current climate and reassures me that our offices are good value for money”
Scotland remains one of Gladmans’ growth areas in the next few years. The 20 acre site at Eliburn offers office accommodation from 1000 sqft upwards. All buildings are available to lease or purchase. Gladman Developments has an annual turnover of more than £200 million. At present it has 8 million square feet of speculative distribution and industrial space under construction or in the planning process, as well as more than 1 million sq ft of speculative office accommodation being built.

Gladman Developments have confirmed it has let a further 15,000 sq ft of business park office space at Arnhall Business Park in Aberdeen.
Abermed, Annixter, Kongsberg Maritime and RigNet have all agreed leases at Abercrombie Court in Westhill of between 5 to 15 years for units ranging from 2,200-5,250 sq ft. Rents achieved were between £17.50 and £18.50 per sq ft.
Gladman Developments’ Abercrombie Court in Aberdeen is proving a top draw with a multitude of investment sales and lettings confirmed in the last three months.
The surge in demand has encouraged Gladman to begin the second phase of construction, which will comprise a further 52,600 sq ft and offer units ranging from 1000-5000 sq ft.
Britons looking to open a business property may find the current conditions are favourable, an expert has said.
Matthew McEachran, retail analyst at Singer Capital Markets, stated new commercial property owners could see the situation as "better from the perspective of cost and tax incentives".
This is particularly true following measures announced in the emergency Budget, as start-up businesses could benefit from the incentives, he continued.
